"Effigy Lé Marionettes" was the first track that vocalist Malcolm Katoney heard when he was asked to audition for Alchemy. And of course, we loved his delivery in his audition and we immediately jumped at the opportunity to have him join the band.

The tempo changes were recorded in realtime without the help of a metronome or click track. It is heavily influenced by band like Pantera and Lamb of God. The original live version had no lead fills or lead lines, but in post production some of these new studio parts made their way onto the album and thus became a part of how the guitar parts are played.
