about

IMPORTANT NOTE: Though we don't consider ourselves a band of action in any way. We feel as an artist we have the power to be a voice of the people.

The lyric content of "Her Taste of Sin" could deemed be sensitive to many and in that regard we respect those people who've been directly affected and continue to mourn and fight for their loved ones - this is a song about missing/murdered Indigenous people, human/trafficking and abduction. We've taken on the charge of being the voice of awareness using the platform of music to shed light on these inhuman acts upon our people.

We urge you to advocate and educate yourselves. Join in the fight to search and find the whereabouts of the thousands of missing/murdered Indigenous people - help their many loved ones find peace within.

"Her Taste of Sin" is the ORIGINAL track from Alchemy, as registered published artists under ASCAP/BMI.

It is a punishing track that runs the gauntlet of 8th, 16th and 32nd note flurry at a blistering tempo. Chase sets the tempo, at times seeming to drag the band along. Malcolm's vocal tracking shines through here as an epic balance of vocal delivery.

There were no pre-chorus sections in previously performed versions - this happy mistake happened when the drums were tracked. The extra parts ended up working and they added a new dimension to the offering. Bronson and Dennis teamed up to work out a chord progression that worked to building into the chorus. The dual guitar melodies were later added for texture. At the time Bronson started listening quite heavily to The Black Dahlia Murder, hence the melodicism of the guitar section.

This track also features, a lead fill cut by Ryan at the midpoint of the song. It's a moment reminiscent of Ride The Lightning-era Metallica grooves and guitar nuances.

The drumming on the track's ending is very reminiscent of TOOL, of whom Chase is a huge fan.
