about

"Inferno" came together as we were doing shows in late 2018 as production on the album was in full swing - as such it was was one of the last songs to be written prior to recording it. We wanted a live instrumental to warm-up our set. It seemed to fit kicking off an album just as well. As the song took shape we realized it could very much be an Overture of sorts - a piece that envelopes the music and album's motifs and reoccurring themes from beginning to end.
